5 Day Queen Elizabeth & Kibale Wildlife Tour is an interesting tour package that is organized for visitors interested in trekking the chimpanzees and participating in boat cruise, game drive, forest walk, wetland walk and community tours.

5 Days Queen Elizabeth & Kibale Wildlife Tour – Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer From Kampala to Kampala Queen Elizabeth National Park &En-route Stopover at Uganda Equator.
On this first day, start your tour as early as 6:00am in the morning from Kampala and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park perfectly located in southwestern Uganda overlooking the foothills of pristine Mountain Rwenzori.
It is 417kms about 7 hrs drive from the Capital City Kampala to Queen Elizabeth national park.
A stop over at the Uganda Equator will provide you a chance to appreciate nature as you partake in marvelous water experiment to ascertain the intersection of the sphere’s surface.
Proceed to the land of milk and honey –Mbarara and have stopover for thrilling Ugandan lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre .
Thereafter, traverse through the crater lakes region, notably Lake Rutoto, shaped like the map of Africa; the green tea plantations notwithstanding and lastly the rift valley escarpment overlooking the Rwnenzori Mountains. On arrival to the park, drive to the lodge to check-in, have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Early Morning Game Viewing & Afternoon Launch Cruise
Following your early morning breakfast, start your early morning game drive towards the well-connected Kasenyi tracks.
The northern sector of Queen Elizabeth national Park is endowed with exclusive wildlife species including the Uganda kobs, waterbucks, topis, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, lions and a variety of savanna beautiful birds.
Thereafter, disembark from the activity to the lodge for lunch as you make yourself ready for an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga channel.
The afternoon launch cruise is a big highlight as you seize an opportunity to interact with the main mammals species in the park including four of the big five – elephants, buffaloes, lions and leopards; others include hippos, Crocodiles, waterbucks among others and birds in this park over 600bird species making the park the second highest number of birds in all African parks.
The Kazinga Channel offers wide- collection of birds like Cassin’s grey flycatcher, broad billed roller, and black bee-eater that are concentrated along the banks of Lake Edward.

Day 3: Game Drive in The Ishasha Sector & Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
On this third day, take your breakfast and transfer to Ishasha Game Reserve in search for tree climbing lions.
They begin climbing the trees at sunrise simply to rest after a night long hunt for the antelopes.
A game drive in the Ishasha grassland is another wonderful game viewing experience as you will meet other species like big herds of Uganda kobs, defassa waterbucks, or oribis, topis.
Retire to the lodge for lunch and thereafter, transfer to Kibale Forest National Park for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Early Morning Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale & Afternoon Bigodi Wetland Walk
Following your early morning breakfast, your driver guide will take you to Kanyanchu park headquarters for early morning briefing from the senior park ranger at 8:00am.
At the park, you will join the rest of other trackers and be divided into groups composed of eight (8) trekkers who are allowed to encounter one habituated gorilla group.
Thereafter, transfer to the starting point to enter the forest trails to search for the primates. Along the trail, you may interface with primates including the red tailed monkey, L’Hoest monkey, and baboons, white and black Colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red Colobus, blue monkeys and pottos.
Other animals include forest elephants unique from the common type, giant forest hogs and a striking tree species.
Retire to the lodge after the activity which tends to take 2-5 hours for lunch and relaxation. Later in the afternoon,you will embark on a guided nature walk to Bigodi swamp sanctuary, a good site for birders.
Expect to see the Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek which can easily be sighted among the other many bird species.
There is also an array of butterfly species. In the evening return to your previous lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 5: Transfer From Kibale to Kampala / Entebbe & Departure
Depart Kibale forest national park after taking relaxed breakfast. Along the way you will have stopover in Mubende to take a short visit to see the “supernatural tree – the Nakayima” where you will be introduced to some of the hilarious traditional beliefs of the Baganda people.
Arrive in Kampala for lunch and thereafter transfer to the airport for yur scheduled flight back home.
