7 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari – Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls & En-route Rhino Trekking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After an early morning cup of coffee in your Kampala lodge, you will be met by your experienced driver guide and head to north western direction to Murchison Falls National Park through Kampala Bombo road which should take you about 5 hours without en-route stopovers.
On your way, you will see the legendary Luwero triangle, today which has turned out into a small town with a trading center known for its agonizing history of the Baganda massacre.
Continue and branch off from Nakitoma to head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to trek the Rhinos.On arrival at the Sanctuary, you will visit the only White Rhino species protected in this part of Uganda.
Have lunch at Kabalega dinners and after which proceed with the drive to Murchison falls National Park.

Day 2: Early Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Launch Cruise, Hike To The Top of Falls.
On this memorable day, go for an early game view drive through the delta area, Buligi tracks, Albert and Queen Tracks .
The range of wildlife you may view or spot include the Lions, buffaloes, waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribi.
As soon as the game drive is done, retire to the lodge for lunch and preparation for an afternoon launch cruise to the bottom of the falls. Immediately after taking lunch, transfer to Paraa area to catch-up with an afternoon launch cruise on the Nile.
The lunch cruise will offer you opportunities to spot schools of hippos, large crocodiles, and small herds of buffalo.
There’s rich birdlife on the papyrus banks, watch out for the shoebill stork, the most sought after bird in Africa.
Thereafter, go to the Top of the falls; such a lovely scene for viewing the magnificent world’s most powerful fall. Retire back to the lodge after the activity for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer From Murchison to Kibale National Park With En-route Lunch Stopover.
After taking breakfast, transfer to the next destination –Kibale forest national park famous for life time chimpanzee trekking experience.
Enjoy this scenic drive southwest via Fort Portal where you will stop for lunch.
Catch a glimpse of the Toro Kingdom palace, the Royal tombs the mosque, many shops and eating-places and after wards proceed to Kibale located just 20kms from Fort Portal Town.
Kibale national park has the highest concentration of primates in East Africa including chimps, black and white Colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and baboons.
Upon reaching to the park, connect to your lodge to check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Early Morning Chimp Tracking & Afternoon Guide Bigodi Wetland Walk
Wake up very early for cup of tea before reporting Kanyanch tourism for an early morning briefing from the senior park rangers about the dos and don’ts of Chimps trekking.
In this session, you will join the rest of other visitors and be divided into groups composed of eight (8) trekkers who are authorized to visit one habituated gorilla group.
Thereafter, transfer to the starting point to enter the forest trails to search for the primates.
Along the trail, you may interface with primates including the red tailed monkey, L’Hoest monkey, and baboons, white and black Colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red Colobus, blue monkeys and pottos.
Other animals include forest elephants unique from the common type, giant forest hogs and a striking tree species.
Retire to the lodge after the activity which tends to take 2-5 hours for lunch and relaxation. Later in the afternoon,you will embark on a guided nature walk to Bigodi swamp sanctuary, a good site for birders.
Expect to see the Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek which can easily be sighted among the other many bird species.
There is also an array of butterfly species. In the evening return to your previous lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park With Enroute Visit To The Rwenzori Art Foundation, Ruboni Community Craft & Wax Center En-route & Do Afternoon Boat Cruise
After taking an early morning cup of coffee, transfer from Kibale forest national park to Queen Elizabeth National Park .
The drive distance of 157kms about 3 hours’ on rough road is very interesting. You will have your first stop at Rwenzori Art foundation which is the only bronze casting center in the whole of African Continent that is situated in the shadows of Rwenzori Mountains.
You may participate in the wonderful process of sculpture making of which is the common activity done in the Centre. Proceed to tour the Ruboni community wax & craft center mainly to understand local traditions and the usage of local knowledge to modern development.
Thereafter the activity, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park driving through the crater which offers you the views of different wildlife such as olive baboons, elephants and not forgetting the magical scenery before connecting to Mweya for an afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise which will reward you will the possibilities of meeting the Hippos, Nile crocodiles, other wild game drinking on the channel side and counts of water birds. Retire back to your lodge in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Early Morning Game Viewing & Afternoon Kyambura Gorge Chimps Experience
Following your early morning breakfast, start your early morning game drive towards the well-connected Kasenyi tracks.
The northern sector of Queen Elizabeth national Park is endowed with exclusive wildlife species including the Uganda kobs, waterbucks, topis, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, lions and a variety of savanna beautiful birds.
Thereafter, disembark from the activity to the lodge for lunch as you make yourself ready for an afternoon chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge.
After taking lunch, embark on an fascinating afternoon chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura gorge that starts from 2:00pm .
The Kyambura Gorge Chimp experience is more than exploring chimpanzees in their natural environment, the activity stretches an extra mile to teach you about the ecosystems of Kyambura Gorge’s atmospheric “underground” rainforest, including vegetation types; bird identification and behavior; and chimp and monkey ecology.
While at the site, you stand a pretty good chance of hearing and seeing our distant cousins-Chimpanzees as they are habituated.
The activity which lasts between 2-3 hours is very rewarding with even an extra view of other primate species like the black and white colobus monkeys, the olive baboons.
After the activity, you will retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kampala with enroute Traditional lunch at Igongo Cultural Center & Stopover at Uganda Equator Crossing.
Transfer back to Kampala after taking an early morning breakfast. The drive journey will take you through the rolling winding hills and terraced landscapes of western region.
Upon your arrival at Igongo Cultural Centre, you will have your lunch and take 30 minutes tour around Cultural Museum found in the Centre.
Thereafter, continue with the drive to Kampala. On your way, you will by-pass Mpigi village, famous for the Royal Drums Makers and have stop over at the Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe, where you will enjoy delightful water experiment, take photos and shop for a souvenir.
You will arrive to Kampala late in the evening approximate at 7-8pm and the driver guide will drive you back to your Kampala hotel for dinner and overnight or to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight back home.
