Day 1: Transfer From Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park, Lunch in Fort Portal town, Afternoon Fort Portal Crater Lake Hike & Visit The Amabere g’ Nnyinamwiru Caves

6 Days Uganda Safari, 6 Days Uganda Tour

After breakfast, you will meet our English-speaking safari driver guide who will pick you up from your Kampala/Entebbe lodge/ hotel and start your 6 days Uganda safari tour by departing to Kibale forest park dubbed the primate Capital of the world.

The drive distance of 358 about 4-5 hours drive will take you through the astounding countryside landscapes dotted with farmed lands and local homesteads.

Arrive in Fort Portal town also dubbed the Tourism City of Uganda for lunch after which you will continue to do the Fort Portal Crater Lake Hike to gain magnificent views and sights of the remarkable Fort Portal explosion craters.

You will also tour the stunning Amabere g’ Nnyinamwiru caves with a magical Nyakasura River falling over them forming a splendid waterfall.

The caves have breast-like features to which the locals attach a great cultural connotation and are thought to date back to the Chwezi era.

Thereafter, Retreat from the activity and drive through Fort Portal Town to Kibale Forest Park just a distance of 26 Kilometers to Check-in to your lodge, have dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Do Morning Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk in the Afternoon

Bigodi wetland walkTake an early morning cup of coffee and thereafter transfer to the park headquarters for an early morning briefing about the dos and don’ts of Chimpanzee trekking encounters in the primate Capital of the world – the Kibale National Park.

Thereafter, you will walk through the forest with an experienced guide who will be enlightening you about both wildlife and plant life.

As soon as you come across the chimps, you will be allowed one memorable hour to interact with the primates.

The Chimpanzees will lure you into a state of amazement as they swing through the branches, make pant hooting calls, play with each other, and imitate your body language along with other features that will make your one full hour with them a memorable experience of its own.

Retreat from the activity which tends to take 2 – 5 hours to embark on the transfer to Bigodi wetland. The Bigodi wetland lies in close distance to the park thus connecting there is less hectic.

The Bigodi wetland walk exposes you to a typical eco–tourism encounter in Uganda. The impressive flora and fauna existing along with the local community are indeed rewarding to encounter.

The sights of great blue turaco and the Sitatunga may not be missed. Retreat from the activity back to the lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Visit the Rwenzori Art Foundation – the Only Bronze Casting Center in Africa & Ruboni Community Craft & Wax Center En-route & do the Crater Area Drive Upon Arrival

Following an early cup of tea, depart Kibale national park heading to Queen Elizabeth National Park 157km about 3 hours’ drive excluding en-route stopovers.

You will have your first stop at the Rwenzori Art foundation which is the only bronze casting center on the whole of the African Continent that is located in the shadows of the Rwenzori Mountains.

You may participate in the wonderful process of sculpture making which is a common activity done in the Centre.

Sparing time to tour the Ruboni community wax and craft center exposes you to the local traditions and the usage of local knowledge for contemporary development.

Thereafter, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving through the crater which affords you views of the wildlife like olive baboons and elephants not forgetting magical scenery before connecting to Mweya for an afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise which will offer you possibilities of encountering Hippos, Nile crocodiles, wild game drinking on the channel side and counts of water birds. Retire in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 4: Do Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

1 Day Rwanda Gorilla TourWake up early for a cup of coffee and thereafter, embark on an early morning game drive in the rolling savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The drive will take you through Kasenyi tracks with the opportunities of meeting the nocturnal wildlife species when they are retreating back to their hiding grounds and also encounter the early morning wildlife risers when they are starting their daily activities of looking for food.

The ranges of wild game which may be seen during the game drive include the elusive leopard, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, Side stripped Jackal; Oribis elephants, lions, and buffaloes, among others.

The tracks are well designed to increase your possibilities of encountering wild game in the natural habitat of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After 3 -4 hour game drives of about 200 kilometers, you will retire back to the starting point. Thereafter, embark on the interesting drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

The drive will take you through the prominent Ishasha sector where you will have the possibility of encountering tree climbing lions that tend to lie on the branches of fig trees and also have a stopover for Lunch.

Afterward, continue with the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day: Do Gorilla Trekking & an Evening Cultural Walk to the Batwa Communities.

6 Days Uganda Safari

After early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the Park headquarters for registration and join other trekkers in an early morning briefing about the etiquette of Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

As soon as the briefing is done, you will enter the jungle to trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas.

The trek may take you between 2-8 hours to encounter the Mountain gorillas and this will mainly depend on the movement of the apes.

The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists.

Once up close to the apes, you will be given one magical hour to View and interact with these stunning apes plus taking photographs.

Retire back to the starting point after one hour and proceed to your lodge for a late lunch and relaxation. After relaxation, you will be driven to the nearby Batwa community for a memorable, refreshing cultural encounter.

Here you will be guided by a local guide who will take you to the different communities to see how people have managed to survive through farming.

You will see how local brew is processed from fresh Bananas and forest remedies to get beer and Waragi and also enjoy the performances done by the local Batwa women groups.

After that interesting cultural encounter, you will drive back to your respective lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer Back to Kampala, Traditional Lunch at Igongo Cultural Center & a Stop at Uganda Equator Crossing Kayabwe

After breakfast, embark on the transfer to Kampala. The long drive of 527kms will take you through the hilly countryside of south western Uganda before approaching Igongo Cultural center 12km past Mbarara town for a traditional thrilling lunch .

Thereafter; you will proceed to have another stop at Uganda Equator Crossing Kayabwe for amazing photo shoots and water experiments.

Afterward, continue with the drive arriving in Kampala in the evening and the driver guide will drive you to your Kampala hotel or Entebbe international airport for your flight back home.
