5 Days Safari in Uganda Tour – Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park With a Stopover at Uganda Equator Crossing& En-route Traditional Lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre
Following an early morning breakfast in your place of stay in Kampala, you will be picked up to embark on a transfer drive from Kampala to southwestern Queen Elizabeth national park.
The overland journey of 417kms about 7hours without en-route stopovers will see have your first stopover at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe, for a delightful water experiment, photographic opportunity as well a visit to some African craft shops.
Thereafter, you will continue with the journey to the land of honey and milk –Mabara for a second stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre.
You will have your lunch and take 30 minutes tour around Cultural Museum found in the Centre. Afterward, proceed with the journey through rolling winding hills and terraced landscapes of the western region to the park. Upon your arrival at the park, you will drive to the lodge to check-in, have dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Early Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise Along the Kazinga Channel.
Wake up early for a cup of coffee and thereafter, embark on an early morning game drive in the rolling savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The drive will take you through Kasenyi tracks with the opportunities of meeting the nocturnal wildlife species when they are retreating back to their hiding grounds and also encounter the early morning wildlife risers when they are starting their daily activities of looking for food.
The ranges of wild game which may be seen during the game drive include the elusive leopard, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, Side stripped Jackal; Oribis elephants, lions, and buffaloes, among others.
The tracks are well designed to increase your possibilities of encountering wild games in the natural habitat of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After a 3 -4 hour game drive of about 200 kilometers, you will retire back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
After having a thrilling lunch, embark on the rewarding boat cruise on the 45km long Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes Edward and George.
The 2-3 hour boat cruise opens your possibilities of enjoying the calm channel waters filled with counts of Hippos no wonder the channel is called the Paradise of Hippos.
The other sights of water birds and the Nile crocodiles may not be missed. Retire from the activity to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable & En-route Ishasha Game Drive in Search of Tree Climbing Lions.
Right after taking an early morning breakfast, embark on a scenic transfer drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The drive will take you through the prominent Ishasha sector where you will have a game drive in search of the rare tree-climbing lions that tend to lie on the branches of fig trees while keeping an eye on the prey.
You will have lunch at Ishasha after the game drive and thereafter continue with the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 4: Do Gorilla Trekking & An Evening Cultural Encounter With The Batwa Communities.
Following an early morning breakfast, you will report to the Park headquarters for registration and join other trekkers in a briefing about the etiquette of Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After the briefing, UWA experienced ranger guide will lead you to the trailheads to enter the ancient, thick dark Bwindi impenetrable forest to start searching for the unique species of the mountain gorillas inhabited in the hilly forested areas of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
The trek may take you between 2-8 hours to encounter face to face with the mountain gorillas and once up close, you will be allowed to spend one magical hour with these stunning apes.
During this time you can decide to sit down listen to gorilla crumble, study how these apes go about their daily activities and you can take as many photos as possible.
Retire back to the starting point after one hour and proceed to your lodge for a late lunch and relaxation. Thereafter, embark on an evening community walk to visit the native Batwa community and have a cultural encounter. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer From Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Kampala/Entebbe& Departure.
After early morning breakfast, you will embark on a drive back to Kampala Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
You will pass through Mbarara town having your lunch stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre and then proceed to Mpabire where you will have a view of the traditional drums made by the local drummers and also enjoy a drumming session.
Thereafter, drive to Kampala City and on arrival, the driver guide will drive you back to your lodge or Entebbe international Airport for your onward flight back home.
