3 Day Gorilla Trekking Uganda (Uganda Gorilla Safari Bwindi) – Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park & En-route Stopover at Uganda Equator
Right after taking early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your professional driver guide from your Kampala lodge/hotel and depart Entebbe/Kampala city to start your 3 day gorilla trekking Uganda safari heading to Bwindi National park one of the outstanding national parks in Africa with the enchanting landscape as well as unique fauna and flora.
You will have a stopover at the Equator for photo shooting, a captivating water experiment and a tour of African craft shops.
Afterwards, you will get back on your vehicle and proceed with the drive to Bwindi while having your lunch en route.
After arriving in Bwindi proceed to check in at your respective lodge for dinner and overnight depending on which gorilla group you are going to trek.

Day 2: Early Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Cultural Visit To The Batwa Community
After taking an ebullient breakfast that will offer you the energy required for hiking the steep hills and the slippery trails of Bwindi forest when looking for the rare mountain gorillas, you will proceed with your packed lunch to the park’s headquarters for early morning registration and briefing at 8:00 am about the code of conduct when trekking the gorillas in the ancient Impenetrable forest.
Afterwards, you will be led by a UWA ranger guide to trek the gorillas in the thick creepers and undergrowth afro monotone vegetation of Bwindi and this will take you between 2 – 8 hours depending on the movement of the mountain gorillas.
Once up close to the group, a memorable, magical one hour is given to you to be with these gentle giants. You can decide to sit in the forest among the Gorillas, listen to them grumble to each other and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male-the Silverback.
The steeply forested landscape of Bwindi is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered Creatures.
When the one hour is done, you will retreat back to where you started the trek and proceed to the lodge for refreshment before embarking on a walk to the nearby community to have a cultural encounter with the Batwa people popularly identified as pygmies in Uganda.

Day 3: Transfer From Bwindi to Kampala & Departure
After your early morning cup of coffee, you will have a short briefing from your driver guide before leaving Bwindi to head back to Kampala.
You will pass through Mbarara town having your lunch stop at Igongo Cultural Centre and also with an optional visit to the museum found in this Centre.
Afterwards, you will get back on your vehicle to proceed to Mpambire where you will have a view of the traditional drums made by the local drummers and also enjoy a drumming session.
You will then arrive in Kampala late in the evening to mark and the driver guide will return you to your Kampala place of stay or Entebbe international airport for your onward flight back home.
