The 4 Days wildlife safari will allow you to encounter the adventurous launch cruise on the picturesque waters of the Kazinga Channel, undertake an early morning game drive in the well-coordinated Kasenyi tracks and chimpanzee trekking at Kyambura George.

The 4 days Uganda Wildlife Safari will reward you with the views and sights of rare wildlife species like the Uganda Kobs, Buffaloes, hippos, Chimpanzees, elephants, water bucks, baboons and some of 600 species of birds that decorate the park. The safari tour will start and end in Kampala.

4 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari – Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & En-route Lunch in Fort Portal town

On the first that of the Safari, your safari driver guide will pick you from your Kampala lodge after your early morning cup of coffee and thereafter embark on 417kms distance drive about 6-7 hours’ drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Uganda’s finest wildlife safari destination.

The drive will take you through the fascinating country side landscapes with decorated with beautiful local Uganda, local home steads and farmed land. Arrive in Fort Portal town for lunch stopover.

After lunch, proceed with the overland journey of 144kms to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving late in the evening like at 6-7pm .Upon your arrival at park, drive direct to your pre-booked lodge for Diner and overnight stay.

Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge (Upmarket/Luxury), Enganzi Lodge (Midrange/Standard) or Pumba Safari Cottages (Budget/Basic).

Day 2: Do an Early Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise Along The Kazinga Channel.

Immediately after taking cup of coffee, embark on an early morning game drive in the rolling savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The drive will take you through Kasenyi tracks with the opportunities/chances of encountering charming wildlife species like the elusive leopard, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, Side stripped Jackal; Oribis elephants, lions, buffaloes, among others.

The tracks are well designed to increase your chances of meeting the different wild game inhabited in the natural habitat of Queen Elizabeth National Park. After 3 -4 hour game drive about, you will retreat back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.

After having a thrilling lunch, embark on the rewarding boat cruise on the 45km long Kazinga Channel that links the two prominent lakes of Lakes Edward and George.

The 2-3 hour boat cruise opens your possibilities of enjoying the calm channel waters filled with counts of Hippos no wonder the channel is called the Paradise of Hippos.

The other sights of water birds and the Nile crocodiles may not be missed. Retire from the activity to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Early Morning Chimpanzee Trekking & Afternoon Ishasha Game Drive

4 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife SafariAfter taking an early morning breakfast, report to the park at 8:00am for an early morning registration and briefing about the etiquettes of chimpanzee trekking in the famous Kyambura George.

Thereafter, you will be led to track the chimpanzees in the well designated tracking trails.

The Kyambura Gorge Chimp experience goes beyond exploring chimpanzees in their natural environment, the activity goes deeper to teach you more about the ecosystems of Kyambura Gorge’s atmospheric “underground” rainforest, including vegetation zones; bird identification and behavior; and chimp and monkey ecology.

While at the site, you stand a pretty good chance of hearing and seeing our distant cousins-Chimpanzees as they are habituated.

The activity which lasts between 2-3 hours is very rewarding with even additional views of other primate species like the black and white colobus monkeys, the olive baboons.

After the activity, you will proceed to do Ishasha game drive in search of the tree climbing lions housed in this part of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

On arrival to Ishasha sector, you will have your lunch and participate in an afternoon game drive through the tracks of Ishasha sector.

The game drive will give you the chances viewing the tree climbing lions mostly tend to spend their time lying on the branches of fig trees while keeping a keen eye on herds of Uganda kob.

You may also see other wildlife species like buffalos, elephants. After game drive in Ishasha, proceed with the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Mweya peninsular.

Day 4: Transfer From Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kampala &enroute Traditional Lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre.

After taking breakfast like at 8:00am, embark on transfer drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kampala Capital City.

The drive will take you through the fascinating hills and picturesque landscape of south western Uganda to Mbarara –the land of honey and milk.

Upon your arrival at Igongo Cultural Centre suited just 12kms past Mbarara town, you will have your lunch and take 30 minutes tour around Cultural Museum found in the Centre.

Thereafter, proceed with the drive to Kampala. Along the way, you will by-pass Mpigi village, well-known for the Royal Drums Makers and have stop over at the Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe, where you will enjoy an exceptional water experiment, take photos and shop for a souvenir.

You will arrive to Kampala late in the evening approximate at 7-8pm and the driver guide will drive you back to your Kampala hotel for dinner and overnight or to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight back home.
