Day 1: Drive transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, lunch in Fort Portal town, afternoon Fort Portal Crater Lake hike & visit the Amabere g’ Nnyinamwiru caves

Right after having an early morning breakfast, you will meet our professional safari driver guide who will pick you up from your Kampala/Entebbe lodge/ hotel and embark on drive transfer from Kampala to Kibale forest national park also nicked named the primate Capital of the world. The drive distance of 358 about 4-5 hours’ drive will take you through the most charming country side landscapes dotted with farmed lands and local homesteads. You will arrive in Fort Portal town also dubbed the Tourism City of Uganda for lunch after which you will continue to do the Fort Portal Crater Lake Hike to gain fascinating views and sights of the remarkable Fort Portal explosion craters. You will also tour the stunning Amabere g’ Nnyinamwiru caves with a magical Nyakasura River falling over them forming splendid water fall. The caves have breast like features which the locals attach a great cultural connotation and are thought to date back to the Chwezi era. Thereafter, Retreat from the activity and drive through Fort Portal Town to Kibale Forest Park just distance of 26 Kilometers to Check-in to your lodge, have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Do morning Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi wetland walk in the afternoon

Following an early morning cup of coffee, you will transfer to the park headquarters for an early morning registration and briefing about the code of conduct while trekking the Chimpanzees in their natural habitat in the primate Capital of the world – the Kibale National Park. Thereafter, you will walk through the forest with professional UWA ranger guide who will be explaining to you more about both wildlife and plants life. Immediately you come across the chimps, you will be allowed one memorable hour to interact with the primates. The Chimpanzees will impress you when they swing through the branches, make pant hooting calls, play with each other, and imitate your body language along with other features that will make your one full hour with them a life time experience of its own. Return from the activity which tends to take 2 – 5 hours to embark on the transfer to Bigodi wetland walk. The Bigodi wetland is located in nearby distance to the park thus linking there is less strenuous. The Bigodi wetland walk exposes you to typical eco –tourism encounter in Uganda. Along the trail, you will enjoy the views of fascinating flora and fauna existing along with the local community. The sights of great blue turaco and the Sitatnga may not be missed. Retreat from the activity back to lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, visit the Rwenzori Art Foundation – the only bronze casting center in Africa & Ruboni Community craft & wax center en route & do the crater area drive upon arrival

After taking a cup of coffee, you will depart Kibale national park  heading  to Queen Elizabeth National Park 157km about 3 hours’ drive excluding  en-route stopovers. You will have your first stop at Rwenzori Art foundation which is the only bronze casting center in the whole of African Continent that is located in the shadows of Rwenzori Mountains. You may partake in the thrilling process of sculpture making of which is the main activity carried out in the Centre. Sparing time to tour the Ruboni community wax and craft center exposes you the local traditions and the usage of local knowledge to contemporary development. Thereafter, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving through the crater which affords you views of the wildlife like olive baboons and elephants not forgetting magical sceneries before connecting to Mweya for an afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise which will offer you possibilities of encountering Hippos, Nile crocodiles, wild game drinking on the channel side and counts of water birds. Retire in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Do morning game drive & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On this fourth day, you will wake up very early for cup of coffee and thereafter, embark on highly rewarding game drive in the rolling savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take you through Kasenyi tracks with the chances of confronting the nocturnal wildlife species when they are returning back to their hiding grounds and also encountering the early morning wildlife risers when they are starting their daily activities of looking for food. The ranges of wild game which may be seen during the game drive include the elusive leopard, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, Side stripped Jackal; Oribis, elephants, lions, buffaloes, among others. The tracks are well designed to increase your chances of viewing wild game in their natural habitat of Queen Elizabeth National Park. After 3 -4 hour game drive about 200 kilometers, you will retire back to the starting point. Thereafter, embark on the interesting drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive will take you through the most popular Ishasha sector where you will have a chance of meeting the tree climbing lions that tend to lie on the branches of fig trees and also have stopover for Lunch. Afterwards, continue with the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Do gorilla trekking & an evening Cultural walk to the Batwa Communities.

After an early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the Park headquarters for registration and join other trekkers in an early morning briefing about the etiquettes of Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. As soon as the briefing is done, you will enter the jungle to trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas. The trek may take you between 2-8 hours to encounter the Mountain gorillas and this will mainly depend on the movement of the apes. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. Once up-close to the apes, you will be given one magical hour to View and interact with these stunning apes plus taking photographs. Retire back to the starting point after the one hour and proceed to your lodge for a late lunch and relaxation. After relaxation, you will be driven to the nearby Batwa community for memorable, refreshing cultural encounter.  Here you will be guided by a local guide who will take you to the different communities to see how people have managed to survive through farming.  You will see how local brew is processed from fresh Bananas and forest remedies to get beer and Waragi and also enjoy the performances done by the local Batwa women groups. After that interesting cultural encounter, you will drive back to your respective lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Lake Bunyonyi.

Immediately after an early morning breakfast, you will depart Bwindi driving to Lake Bunyonyi 48km. Lake Bunyonyi is another delightful tourist stopover that is undeniably rewarding to visit. It is the 2nd deepest lake in Africa; it has lots of the tasty crayfish, so one can prepare his or her self for a culinary delight experience. Bunyonyi is a local word that literally means “many small birds” in direct translation. It’s a convenient stopover destination for committed birders and travellers who are from strenuous gorilla trekking activities. On arrival to Lake Bunyonyi, you will drive to your lodge for check-in, lunch and you proceed to catch up with the afternoon canoe ride, also participate in refreshing activities such as swimming in the bilharzia free waters of Bunyonyi, you can also enjoy the evening nature walks in the Bunyonyi Islands. After exploring the different adventurous activities in Lake Bunyonyi, you will retire to your lodge to chill in the fire place while enjoying cool evening of Bunyonyi, you will have your dinner and overnight

Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala, Traditional Lunch at Igongo Cultural Center & a stop at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe

After breakfast, embark on the transfer back to Kampala. The long drive will take you through hilly countryside of south western Uganda before approaching Igongo Cultural center 12km past Mbarara town for a traditional thrilling lunch .Thereafter; you will proceed to have another stop at Uganda Equator Crossing Kayabwe for amazing photo shots and water experiments. Afterward continue with the drive arriving in Kampala in the evening and the driver guide will drive you to your Kampala hotel or Entebbe international airport for your flight back home.
